What will your typical day look like?
As an Assistant Manager, you help lead, plan and execute engagements, recommending and implementing solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You are a trusted advisor to our clients, delivering solutions that impact clients’ financial future. You deepen your technical knowledge and continue to build relationships with key stakeholders. You can expect to:
- Help lead, plan, and execute engagements in forensic accounting, corporate finance, merger and acquisition transactions, valuations.
- Leverage tools and technologies to help clients navigate uncertainty and the complex business landscape.
- Develop and coach junior team members to ensure service excellence.
- Engage in well-being and sustainability initiatives, a variety social and community events, and other programs aligned with Deloitte's Shared Values.
As a Manager, you lead a variety of engagements, including forensic accounting, corporate finance, merger and acquisition transactions, valuations and other consulting projects. You guide your team to deliver value and help clients with complex business solutions. You can expect to:
- Lead teams and engagements, liaise with key client staff, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders including legal counsel, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Train teams on tools, new technologies, and financial standards to help client's navigate uncertainty and the complex business environment.
- Develop and coach your team, taking pride in your work and leading the team with integrity.
- Participate in business development, proposals, client presentations and marketing activities.

You are someone with:
Assistant Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA).
- Qualified or near qualified with an internationally recognized relevant professional designation e.g., ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA, CFA. If valuations stream; qualified or near qualified in a relevant professional designation; CBV, ASA, ICVS, CAIA or ABV. If forensics stream; CFE would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 4 years’ of progressive experience in consulting, or combined consulting, audit, or related services experience; experience with turnaround and restructuring services, forensic and financial crime, regulatory and financial risk, valuation and modeling, forensic accounting, valuations, corporate finance, or business restructuring preferred
- Experience working in a professional services firm or large-scale organization preferred.
- Project management skills; including experience leading engagements, or components of engagements, including mentoring, coaching, and reviewing work of junior team members.
Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA).
- Qualified with an internationally recognized relevant professional designation e.g., ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA, CFA. If valuations stream; qualified in a relevant professional designation; CBV, ASA, ICVS, CAIA or ABV. If forensics stream; CFE would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in consulting, including [turnaround and restructuring services, forensic and financial crime, regulatory and financial risk, valuation and modeling], forensic accounting, corporate finance, M&A transactions and valuations within a professional services firm or large-scale organization.
- Experience supporting business growth including selling, winning, and delivering relevant consulting services.
- Effective project management skills including experience leading engagements, or components of engagements, and supporting and reviewing work of junior team members.
- Solid experience providing due diligence and litigation support services for complex and multi-jurisdictional litigation, asset and debt advisory projects and experience selling and delivering consulting services.
