What will your typical day look like?
You lead and provide client services, including economic capital modelling, risk management, determination of loss reserves, reporting, audit support, and other actuarial consulting projects. This includes understanding the clients' business environment and applying leading methodologies to analyze and solve their most complex issues. You enjoy taking the lead role in developing service offerings for our clients, whilst developing your team’s capabilities to identify upcoming areas of demand, driven by regulatory and market trends. As Manager, you are committed to the success of the practice and work to contribute to its growth and business development.

About the team
We provide a robust consulting service with both traditional and non-traditional service offerings to assist insurers, reinsurers, captives, pension schemes, banks and non-financial related entities. Our actuaries regularly partner with professionals in accounting and other specialist service lines. This enables us to provide a breadth of expertise and tackle problems not possible in most other actuarial consulting firms. Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You are someone with:
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, Institute of Actuaries or equivalent
  • At least 4-6 years relevant actuarial experience with significant experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry; preferably with actuarial consulting experience
  • Experience in general (re)insurance markets
  • Experience working as actuarial specialist on audit engagements
  • Ability to work well independently and in a culturally diverse team-oriented environment
  • Interest in supporting the practice’s sales efforts including opportunity identification, qualification and proposal development/presentation
  • Ability and willingness to undertake business travel regionally and globally as required 

Not required, but preferred:
  • A risk designation such as CERA or FRM
  • Familiarity with Bermuda regulatory framework.
