What will your typical day look like?
You work directly with leaders to strategically shape and grow the Actuarial & Insurance Solutions practice. You provide a range of services including reserving and financial reporting, audit support, actuarial opinions, M&A due diligence and other actuarial consulting engagements for a range of clients. You manage a portfolio of clients, develop team capabilities, and help build a talent pipeline by focusing on business development initiatives. Through your coaching and leadership the team is motivated to deliver high quality work.
About the team
We provide a robust consulting service with both traditional and non-traditional service offerings to assist insurers, reinsurers, captives, pension schemes, banks and non-financial related entities. Our actuaries regularly partner with actuaries globally on cross-border engagements as well as professionals in accounting and other specialist service lines. This enables us to provide a breadth of expertise and tackle problems not possible in most other actuarial consulting firms. Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are someone with:
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, Institute of Actuaries or equivalent.
A minimum of 7 years’ actuarial experience with significant experience in the insurance industry; preferably with actuarial consulting experience.
A minimum of 3 years managerial experience, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including coaching, mentoring, developing, and leading team members.
Experience supporting business growth including selling, winning, and delivering actuarial services.
Experience in long-term (re)insurance markets.
Experience with managing actuarial audit engagements.
Experience with IFRS 17 and/or US GAAP LDTI implementation projects.
Experience with technical actuarial techniques in pricing and reserving.
Expertise in SII, BMA and/or other regulatory regimes.
Not required, but preferred:
Familiarity with Bermuda regulatory framework
Experience with a Big 4 consultancy firm
Experience with reinsurance
