What will your typical day look like?
You play and integral role in, developing models, recommendations, and reports and presentations. You consult with clients to understand their business and industry and provide actuarial solutions. Continuous learning and development will be a part of this role as you gain exposure to different businesses in the insurance industry, a variety of projects, and complex challenges.
You can expect to:
- Perform and oversee data analysis, lead the development of modelling and valuation, participate in developing project plans and client solutions.
- Learn and leverage new tools and technologies.
- Develop and mentor junior team members to ensure service excellence.

Using the latest technologies and deep industry insights, we help businesses of every size prosper by creating impactful solutions tailored to your unique needs today and for the future. We provide a robust consulting service with both traditional and non-traditional service offerings to assist insurers, reinsurers, captives, pension schemes, banks and non-financial related entities. Our actuaries regularly partner with actuaries globally on cross-border engagements as well as professionals in accounting and other specialist service lines. This enables us to provide a breadth of expertise and tackle problems not possible in most other actuarial consulting firms. We have a proven track record in developing robust and practical solutions to a variety of actuarial and risk challenges. You are someone with:
- A bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA).
- Qualified or near qualified as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, Institute of Actuaries or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in actuarial services, preferably within consulting in a professional services firm or large scale organization.
- Experience with IFRS 17 and/or US GAAP LDTI implementation or reporting projects.
- Experience with technical actuarial techniques in pricing and reserving.
- Experience working as actuarial specialist on audit engagements is an asset.
