The Talent (HR) Administrator will provide transactional and administrative Talent support to employees, aligning work outcomes to the local Strategic Priority Areas leveraging best practices, while staying current with market trends. The incumbent will work closely with the Talent team, ensuring the office embeds Deloitte’s global and regional Talent practices for a consistent employee Talent Experience. They will support with immigration, work permits, visa applications, general talent operations, recruitment and student programs, onboarding and offboarding, and with monitoring and maintaining local Talent processes.

Our Talent team supports employees across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, immigration, learning and development, employee programs, and day-to-day Talent operations.

You are someone with:
  • High school diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Resources or an administrative role; relevant internship experience will be considered toward this requirement. Experience in a professional customer service role in a large organization is preferred. 
  • Working towards a relevant professional certificate or qualification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPHR, or PMP) is an asset. 
  • Experience and knowledge of work permit procedures is an asset.
  • Knowledge in industry specific HR and Talent Management concepts.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills including business writing, report preparation, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Professional interpersonal skills including active and empathetic listening, and ability to effectively share suggestions with leaders.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to collaborate with others and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, deadline and results driven mindset with effective analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply these attributes with drive and enthusiasm.
  • Commitment to professional customer service and seeing tasks through to completion in a timely and effective manner within an environment of pressing deadlines.
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to work within a multi-cultural and diverse team-oriented workforce both in person and virtually, working collaboratively to build effective relationships.
  • Demonstrates maturity, professionalism, honesty and integrity, ethics, commitment, consistency, dependability, confidentiality, and ability to manage work with a strong sense of urgency and practicality.
  • Ability to follow basic instructions, established routines and steps, and work processes. 
  • Punctual with strong attendance history and work ethic.
  • Competent in common office software such as MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), HRIS software, and comfortable learning new technology tools.
