As part of our Tax team, you contribute to our purpose of making an impact that matters, providing strategic tax guidance and compliance support that enables clients to manage risk, navigate complex rules, fulfil their compliance obligations, optimize opportunities, make informed decisions, and operate effectively in a complex global landscape.

Associate 
You work under the supervision and direction of a Senior to carry out assigned tasks during tax engagements. You take ownership of sections and tasks assigned and focus on producing quality work for review. You understand and follow Deloitte’s policies and procedures, as well as drive quality in all areas of assigned responsibility. You focus on researching, learning, conducting due diligence and applying the correct methodologies to support engagements and also commit to pursuing and obtaining your relevant professional designation.

You are someone with: 
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA).
  • Working towards an internationally recognized relevant professional accounting, tax, or legal designation/qualification.
  • A minimum of one year of tax or relevant work experience, including co-op or internship experience.

Senior 
As a Senior, you use your experience and knowledge in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to clients. You are familiar with tax consulting processes to support clients' tax needs. You act as a lead member of an engagement team and are responsible for performing all aspects of the engagement, including planning, research, tax return preparation, supervision of the Associates and the coordination of all levels of review. 

You are someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA). Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, and/or JD/LLM (taxation focus) are preferred.
  • Qualification with, or active pursuit of, a relevant professional designation that allows for practice before the US IRS (e.g., US state-licensed CPA or attorney or IRS Enrolled Agent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of experience in tax services.
  • Knowledge of US international tax compliance and US internal revenue code.
  • Experience effectively utilizing tax related software and tools.
  • Experience working in a professional services firm or large-scale organization preferred.

Assistant Manager
As an Assistant Manager, you support with the management of a portfolio of key clients, ensuring quality and service excellence in the US Tax team. You act as a lead member of an engagement team and are responsible for performing all aspects of the engagement, including planning, research, deliverable preparation, managing the reporting process, supervision of juniors and coordinating all levels of review. You are expected to have a solid understanding of your service area and industry and contribute to business development opportunities. 

You are someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA). Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, and/or JD/LLM (taxation focus) are preferred.
  • Internationally recognized relevant professional designation complete or near completed (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent.
  • Qualification with, or active pursuit of, a relevant professional designation that allows for practice before the US IRS  (e.g., US state-licensed CPA or attorney or IRS Enrolled Agent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax services.
  • Knowledge of US international tax compliance and US internal revenue code.
  • Experience effectively utilizing tax related software and tools.
  • Experience working in a professional services firm or large-scale organization preferred.

Manager
As a Manager, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and driving quality and service excellence in the US tax services team. You are experienced with compliance and regulatory processes and have the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution development and implementation for our clients' needs. You are responsible for a portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis which includes planning, management of the team including review of work, liaising with key client staff and the management of the reporting process. You are expected to have sound knowledge in your service area and industry and participate in business development opportunities.
 
You are someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field; or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA). Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, and/or JD/LLM (taxation focus) are preferred.
  • Qualified with a relevant professional designation that allows for practice before the US IRS (e.g., US state-licensed CPA or attorney or IRS Enrolled Agent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing tax services, including relevant industry experience, within a professional services firm or large-scale law or public accounting organization.
  • Knowledge of US international tax compliance and US internal revenue code.
  • Strong engagement management skills including experience leading engagements, or components of engagements, and supporting and reviewing work of junior team members.  
  • Experience in US taxation of investment products and services, including hedge funds,  and/or US taxation of insurance companies.
  • Corporate: 
    • Knowledge of OECD Pillar Two global minimum tax initiatives.
    • Experience with ASC 740 and SSAP 101. 

Senior Manager 
As a Senior Manager, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis with a focus on high quality delivery and leading with integrity to build inclusion, motivation, and develop team members capabilities.  You use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to US and foreign partnerships and corporations. You have extensive experience with compliance and regulatory processes and have the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution development and implementation for our clients' needs. You are expected to have advanced knowledge of the relevant industry and US tax regulations. You play an active role in business development activities and management of the Tax practice.  

You are someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA). Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, and/or JD/LLM (taxation focus) from a US accredited institution are strongly preferred.
  • Qualified with a relevant professional designation that allows for practice before the US IRS (e.g., US state-licensed CPA or attorney or IRS Enrolled Agent).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ of progressive experience in providing tax services, including relevant industry experience, within a professional services firm or large-scale law or public accounting organization.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including, coaching, mentoring, developing, and leading team members. 
  • Advanced technical knowledge of US international tax compliance and US internal revenue code.
  • Experience supporting business growth including selling, winning, and delivering tax services. 
  • Experience managing large-scale client engagements utilizing effective project management skills within Financial Services or other targeted sectors.  
  • Highly experienced with practice management and building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in US taxation of investment products and services, including hedge funds, and/or US taxation of insurance companies.
  • Corporate:
    • Knowledge of OECD Pillar Two global minimum tax initiatives.
    • Experience with ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
