What will your typical day look like?  

You lead a portfolio of US and foreign corporations and partnerships on tax compliance and advisory matters and continue to build our growing business in Bermuda. You’ll work alongside a broader US Tax team across the Caribbean and Bermuda Region and collaborate regularly with Deloitte US and our global network. You lead a team of senior associates/managers, and own the full engagement life cycle, from budgeting to resourcing and delivering client service excellence. You also help develop the practice and get involved with proposals and new business pursuits.  You are a trusted advisor to our insurance and financial services clients, and a leader to our junior team members. Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 

You are someone with: 

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in a related field 
  • An internationally recognized professional accounting or legal qualification (CPA, JD/LLM or Enrolled Agent) At least 7 years of progressive experience in a relevant US tax role , including exposure to and understanding of US Internal Revenue Code
  • Proven experience at a leadership level, including
  • Experience in the financial services industry leading teams, engagements, and client relationships

Preferred 

  • Knowledge of OECD Pillar Two global minimum tax initiatives
  • History of supporting audit teams as a tax specialist – preferably on SEC engagements
  • Experience with ASC 740 and SSAP 101
  • US insurance tax experience 
  • Experience with U.S. federal, state, and international forms including Forms 1120, 1120-PC, 1120-L, 1065, 5471, 8621, 8865, and 8858
