What will your typical day look like?
You manage engagement teams and a portfolio of clients across a range of valuation and financial modeling engagements, including business and asset valuations, complex financial models, transaction support, dispute-related valuations, and strategic decision support. You advise clients through delivering high quality valuation analyses and bespoke financial models, ensuring outputs are technically robust, well reasoned, and tailored to client objectives.

You can expect to:
  • Lead teams and manage engagements, advising clients on valuation methodologies, model design, key assumptions, sensitivities, and scenario analysis, translating complex financial concepts into clear and practical insights. 
  • Liaise with key client staff, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders including legal advisors, corporate service providers, and other professionals in the Cayman Islands and abroad. 
  • Develop and coach your team, taking pride in your work and leading the team with integrity. 
  • Participate in business development, proposals, client presentations and marketing activities.

About the team 
Deloitte provides Consulting services in valuations, turnaround & restructuring, merger & acquisition (M&A) transactions, forensic investigations, anti-money laundering/anti-terrorist financing (AML/ATF) compliance, and ancillary services. You are someone with:
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field; or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA)
  • Qualified with an internationally recognized relevant professional designation, e.g. CFA, CBV, ASA, ABV, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAS or other relevant designation. CPA background with CBV or CFA would be preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in valuations and financial modeling, audit, or related advisory services, including significant experience with valuations and financial modeling, preferably within a professional services firm or large-scale organization. 
  • Experience supporting business development, selling, and delivering related services.
  • Effective project management skills including experience supporting and reviewing work of junior team members.  

Not required, but preferred:

  • Experience in valuations of private equity in investment fund environments.
  • Strong understanding of impairment and going concern assessments, with the ability to perform analysis in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Experience working on valuation engagements within litigation or dispute context(s).
  • Prior experience providing valuation support for audit engagements.
