What will your typical day look like?
You will play an integral role in transforming the firm’s risk team by combining your passion for risk management with your advanced data analytics and technological expertise. In this role, you will identify opportunities to intersect risk and technology to uncover data-driven insights, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen risk management processes. You can expect to:

  • Help lead, plan, and execute internal audit, assessing internal controls, risk management frameworks, and regulatory policies and procedures. 
  • Leverage tools and technologies to drive automation and apply data analytics to deliver innovative solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the function and across the firm.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members to ensure service excellence.
  • Engage in well-being and sustainability initiatives, a variety social and community events, and other programs aligned with Deloitte's Shared Values. 

About the team

Our CBC Risk & Compliance Center (RCC) team drives, monitors, and reports on the Firm’s Risk Management and Compliance with internal policies and legal and regulatory rules, providing Internal Audit, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management services internally. 

You are someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Working or willing to work towards a relevant internationally recognized IT or risk management qualification, e.g., CISA CIA, CISSP, CRISC, DBA, MCITP or any other relevant professional designation. 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, automation, or IT systems, ideally within an internal audit or risk management context; professional Services Firm experience considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical tools e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R. 
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting datasets and translating data into insights and recommendations. 
  • Experience in IT auditing considered an asset.
