What will your typical day look like?
As a Tax Manager, you will manage a portfolio of key clients, ensuring exceptional client service delivery throughout the tax engagement cycle. You stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations, embrace emerging technologies, and adapt to innovative ways of working.

You can expect to:

  • Lead teams and tax engagements, develop tax strategies, manage the preparation of compliance filings and projects for business tax, international tax, mergers, acquisitions, and transaction support, indirect tax, business process solutions, and general tax compliance and consulting.
  • Train teams on tax tools, new technologies, and tax laws and regulations. 
  • Develop and coach your tax team, taking pride in your work and leading the team with integrity. 
  • Engage in Deloitte’s DE&I, sustainability, and well-being initiatives and a variety of social and community events.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You are someone with:
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field; or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA)
  • Internationally recognized relevant professional designation, e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or JD, LLM Masters of Taxation or ICSA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in tax, tax accounting procedures, legal tax services or financial control.
  • Experience researching, learning and applying the correct methodologies and corporate legislations.
  • Effective engagement management skills including experience leading engagements, or components of engagements, and supporting and reviewing work of junior team members.  
  • Effective written communication skills proven through memorandum/report writing experience, as well as client communication and presentation experience.
